Covered and secure garage parking
Because Parkshore is located within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, many residents don’t even feel they need a car. But if you happen to have one, we offer secure, covered parking.

Lakeside Dining Room
A beautiful dining room with spectacular Lake Washington views sits over the lake—literally. Enjoy three meals a day served restaurant-style with an ever-changing menu. Chef Shawn Boling brings over 25 years of experience in the culinary field including positions in hospitality, catering and other senior living communities. Shawn excels at letting his creativity flow and enjoys introducing international cuisine to the residents of Parkshore. The adjacent Willows Room is available for private dining and events.

Lakefront Pavilion
The Lakefront Pavilion is right on the water—you can’t get closer without a boat! The Pavilion is available for special parties and events, and for community gatherings. Or just to watch the big game on the widescreen televisions.

The Dock at Parkshore
You won’t find this amenity anywhere else. Residents love our private dock on Lake Washington where you can store your kayak or small boat – or even have your friends sail or motor over and dock their boat! This is lakefront living as it is meant to be.

The Rainier and Garden Rooms – with a view!
Our penthouse common rooms are available for gatherings and events. And they are surrounded on four sides by our spectacular deck with a 360 degree view of the lake, Madison Park, the Botanic Gardens and downtown Seattle.

Fireplace Lounge
Relax and enjoy our Fireplace Lounge, with a sweeping view of Lake Washington. It's cozy inside when the weather outside is blustery, and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine with your neighbors – in any kind of weather.

Health & Wellness
At Parkshore we believe in living active lives physically and intellectually well into our 90s and beyond. We subscribe to the new thinking that decline is not inevitable and have developed a set of wellness programs that help people age as successfully as possible.

Our comprehensive wellness program focuses on the continuing health and fitness of our residents. Special classes, activities and events provide mental stimulation, socialization and humor, time to relax, opportunities to be creative and encouragement to grow spiritually.

Intellectual Pursuits and The Arts
Parkshore offers various trips to places like the Museum of NW Art in La Conner, tours of Wolf Haven, NW Center of Creative Aging and many others. We also bring in performers such as pianists, jazz bands, and blues groups to entertain our residents.

We often hold evening seminars and these are a few of our past lectures:

  • The history of Madison Park
  • Stories of before and after the fall of communism
  • Women in dialog
  • History of conservation
  • Our future in space by NASA ambassadors

Madison Park Community Council frequently holds events at Parkshore as well, including appearances by the Governor, Seattle’s mayor, and other well-known figures speaking on topics of importance.

Doing for others makes us all stronger and at Parkshore, residents work to make their world better through philanthropy. The Foundation at Parkshore raises funds that stay within the community. Resident groups raise funds for scholarships and to help the immediate community of Madison Park. It’s easy to get involved!
