Ways to Give
Giving Back Made Simpler
As you evaluate the best fund that suits you and your family, please consider the various methods of giving below. For each, you designate the type of fund and community to receive the gift. Your wishes will be strictly honored.
Current Gifts: These can be in the form of cash, securities, personal property, or real estate. It is immediately available to the PRCN Foundation.
Pledges: In lieu of a Current Gift, it is also possible to pledge a gift for the future. A pledge may be honored monthly, quarterly, or annually for a specific period of time.
Bequests: A bequest in a will, insurance policy, or other estate plan can be very useful in carrying out charitable intentions. Your legacy benefits older adults for years to come when you name the PRCN Foundation in your will. Bequests are revocable and may be made for specific dollar amounts, a percentage of an estate, or the residual value of an estate.
Planned Gifts: Planned Gifts come in the form of cash, appreciated securities, or real estate that is transferred to an irrevocable trust that provides lifetime income to the donor. A Charitable Gift Annuity offers a lifetime fixed payment to you or another designated individual. In most cases, part of each payment is tax-free, and you may qualify for a Federal income tax charitable contribution deduction. After the lifetime of the annuitant, the PRCN Foundation will receive your gift to use according to your wishes.
Memorial & Honorarium Gifts
A donation to the PRCN Foundation is a great way to honor and remember family and friends who have held a special place in your life. Here are a couple examples of ways to use your donation to support PRCN while also brightening the day of a friend or remembering a loved one who has passed.
Memorials: A memorial is a monetary gift offered in memory of an individual who is no longer with us. Family and friends can honor the memory of a loved one with a memorial gift to any of the three communities.
Honorariums: Honorariums are monetary gifts made to honor a birthday, anniversary, special achievement, or ongoing work of a living individual. By honoring a family member, friend, or colleague through a gift, you will help enrich the lives of our seniors.
Acknowledgements: All donors receive a gift receipt. A separate acknowledgement is sent to a family member or friend of your choosing, notifying them of your Memorial or Honorarium gift.
These gifts may be made as a one-time donation, a pledge for the future, or a planned gift that pays tribute to an individual.
Notifying Friends and Relatives: You can notify friends and relatives about memorial gifts by including language similar to the following in newspapers, memorial service bulletins and other notices:
